What is the Cyber security index (CSI-X)

The CSI-X assesses IT security in five areas of protection:

1. System & configuration security - How well are servers, cloud services, and configurations protected?

2. Vulnerability & attack surface analysis - What security gaps exist—and how critical are they?

3. Identity & access security - Are accounts, roles, and permissions adequately protected?

4. External attack surface & visibility - What can an attacker find out about your company?

5. Monitoring, detection, and responsiveness - How well do you detect attacks—and how do you respond to them?

Each protection area is given an index value (0–100).

The CSI-X overall index is calculated using a weighted assessment model.
